This one-day course will cover Power BI report layouts and structure the agile process to creating Power BI data visualizations. It will help attendees to understand the art behind visualizations, the implications behind choosing the right charts, the impact of color, shape, and size, and finally the use of Power BI custom visuals. The course includes various design patterns of dashboards and reports, as well as best practices for authoring great reports and dashboards for business users.

This one-day course will cover using Power BI Desktop to import and shape data from a variety of sources. It will also walk through Power BI capabilities you can use to enhance the data model for your business users. The course covers key aspects of how to create a great data model to meet your business needs, various features in Power BI used to enhance data models so you can build great reports, and an introduction to DAX to create calculations.
After completing this training, the attendees should be able to import data from a variety of data sources into Power BI, shape the data, create the data model, and write DAX functions to the Power BI model.

Prerequisites—DIAD training and Advanced Data Modeling and Shaping training or equivalent working experience
This course has been designed specifically for experienced model developers. We recommend that attendees have prior experience working with Power BI Desktop to create data models.
During this course you will review:
- Writing DAX formulas.
- Defining calculated tables and columns.
- Defining measures.
- Using DAX iterator functions.
- Modifying filter context.
- Using DAX time intelligence functions.
After completing this training, the attendees should be able to work with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), perform calculations and define common business calculations for use in reports, and addressing performance and functionality concerns.

This one-day course will walk attendees through the Microsoft Power BI administration and the management of a Power BI tenant, including the configuration of tenant settings, usage monitoring, and provisioning of licenses, as well as other organizational resources.
It covers the typical admin tasks and tools, such as Power BI admin portal and Office 365 admin center, and how to automate them by using administrative APIs and PowerShell cmdlets. Specific hands-on labs will focus on using Premium capacity in Power BI, safely sharing Power BI assets, and using the Power BI audit log to optimize Power BI usage.

The Power BI Developer in a Day course will empower attendees with the technical knowledge required to embed Power BI content. This course is designed specifically for experienced app developers, and familiarity with front-end coding is an advantage.
The course covers these topics:
- Acquire access using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) apps and tokens.
- Work with the Power BI REST API.
- Embed Power BI content in your apps.
- Integrate Power BI content in your apps using the Power BI JavaScript API.
- Enforce row-level security (RLS) to ensure app users see the right data.
- Choose the right license to suit your requirements.

Modern Excel Analyst in a Day is a one-day workshop for analysts. It demonstrates the advanced capabilities available in Excel, explores how Excel and Power BI are best used together, and shows how to successfully work with them in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint online.

Prerequisites—DIAD and basic experience working with Azure
This one-day training is designed to empower data architects and BI developers with the technical knowledge required to design an enterprise BI solution that uses Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI. The labs will focus on how to work with Azure Synapse and Power BI, developing and optimizing a Power BI model, creating a model using Direct Query, and Authoring a Power BI report.
The workshop assets are for instructor only, and the workshop can be taught by instructors who build the demo from the Synapse training.
